The Store Support Centre (corporate office) plays a critical role in supporting their team members across the country. Based in Hawthorn East in Melbourne, it’s the engine room of Coles Group and a dynamic and rewarding place to work. About the team

As a Technical Analyst, you will investigate problems and analyse options for new and existing platform services, provide recommendations to solutions and produce artefacts such as context diagrams, business flows, requirements definitions, user stories etc.

Tenure

This is a full-time, permanent role. Part-time (4x days) may be considered for the right candidate.

Location of role

The role is located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne with flexible working arrangements.

What you will do

As a Technical Analyst you will work as part of a multi-skilled team to:

 

  • Gather technical requirements and design specifications for projects and ensure high levels of system availability through support functions and in-depth integration testing.
  • Design detailed software solutions that support the business strategy whilst aligning to the IT strategy
  • Work closely with the Application Architect and Senior Solution Analysts to design high level solutions 
  • Perform software development in accordance to standards and the design
  • Perform unit testing and system testing
  • Create reports using large sets of data from multiple sources to drive change

    Location of roles

    This role is offered in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, VIC only, however applicants prepared to relocate for employment are encouraged to apply.

    Applicant Requirements

    Must have

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must have a diagnosis of autism (including Autism Spectrum Disorder; Asperger’s Syndrome; Autistic Disorder or PDD-NOS)
    • Must have rights to work in Australia
    • Must live within a daily commutable distance to Hawthorn East, Melbourne (or willingness to relocate).
    • All candidates selected for the Pre-selection workshops &/or final Talent Program must have access to a computer or laptop and a reliable internet connection due to online delivery. Note, there may be an opportunity for the Talent Program to be conducted on-site depending on covid restrictions at the time of delivery.
    • All candidates must have a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate to prove they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of Coles Express employment.

    Should have

    These things are important to have:

     

    • Naturally curious and inquisitive
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong SQL server and Transact SQL skills
    • Experience in .Net development or similar
    • Process driven and ability to follow instructions
    • Ability to work productively and autonomously 
    • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy

    Nice to have

    These things are not essential, but if you have them that’s great:

    • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology
    • Experience in Web development
    • Experience in Microsoft D365 Fin Ops
