Location of role

This role is based at 680 George Street Sydney, NSW. Sydney Metro works in a hybrid working environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office. There will be a requirement to sometimes work from other project locations as needed.

Objective

The role generates and implements effective and informative reports to clearly demonstrate business performance outcomes, and stakeholder and customer benefits relating to a number of social procurement policies. The role also provides high level administrative and communications support to contribute toward the effective operation of the social procurement and industry development team, and alignment to the wider Sydney Metro Workforce Development & Industry Participation strategy.

What you will do

The Reporting Officer will be responsible for the effective reporting and using the performance management tool to ensure the successful monitoring of workforce development and industry participation targets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review monthly reporting including verifying the accuracy of data from numerous delivery partners
  • Assist in the production of performance reporting and visualisation development to help drive insights relating to key targets programs. 
  • Develop and implement a range of internal reporting initiatives to connect with staff.
  • Support team building, track accomplishments, articulate pipeline of work, and support performance uplift and continuous improvement.  
  • Coordinate and contribute to the production of regular and ad-hoc quality reporting across a range of internal and external performances. 
  • Contribute to the maintenance of reporting systems to enable efficiency and delivery of business objectives.  
  • Assist with the business planning process and provide support to Business Unit leaders to facilitate aligned and integrated business plans.  
  • Support the preparation of responses to correspondence, briefings and external enquiries to provide accurate information and feedback. 
  • Help co-ordinate a range of internal and external communications for the Business Units. 

Applicant Requirements

Must have

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a diagnosis of autism (including autism spectrum disorder; Asperger’s Syndrome; Autistic Disorder or PDD-NOS).
  • Unrestricted working rights.
  • All staff are required to undertake police checks.
  • There is a requirement to be fully vaccinated or hold a medical exemption.
  • Must live within a daily commutable distance to the location of the role.

Should have

These things are important to have:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Comfortable communicating in writing and face-to-face with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated data and critical analysis skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare a range of client outputs including (but not limited to) reports and visualisations.
  • Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice in communicating complex information in a clear and humanised way across various channels. 

Nice to have

These things are not essential, but if you have them that’s great:

  • No specific qualification is required if experienced. 
  • Flexible with the qualification which can be Certificate IV or degree qualified. 
  • Proficient in other Microsoft products and other analytics tools.
  • Work in a geographically dispersed team, sometimes independently, to deliver outcomes.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, changing and complex environments.
  • Ability to connect ideas and identify where the data produces insights. 
  • Ability to work in a stakeholder-driven environment and through approval review processes.
  • Interest in social procurement.
  • Power BI experience. 
  • Understanding of working in the NSW government.

APS5 Project Officer (EPO): Melbourne, VIC

The Enterprise Project Office (EPO) enables the coordination of the agency’s portfolio of registered programmes and projects. The EPO manages the agency’s Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) Framework and practices and provides support for registered programmes and projects. The EPO also provides portfolio reporting and analysis to strategic committees.

You will be an integral component of the Reporting team working to support the development of Executive reporting products. You will be working in a team who is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting data for an entire Division.

The Data Analyst understands customer’s data requirements and can analyse matching scenarios within the data management tools. They support the control of data management processes and perform administrative, technical, and customising tasks in the data environment.

As an integral part of a data analytics team, you will be involved across several projects, with duties ranging from data collation, analytics, stakeholder management, data visualisation, to provide support to initiative leads across the Debt and Integrity Projects Division.

APS4-6 Analyst Officer: Melbourne, VIC

We are excited to partner with Services Australia in their Aurora Neurodiversity Program, for an Analyst Officer from within our community of talented autistic candidates.

The Requirements Management team is responsible for assisting the project’s delivery teams to define requirements for software development, ensure the project’s compliance to the agency’s requirements frameworks, and provide general analyst support for project delivery. They work under the general direction of senior staff and in multi-disciplinary delivery teams.

The Analyst Officer works across a range of business areas and provide support to delivery teams by assisting in collecting, designing, analysing and reporting information. They analyse datasets with a variety of tools to research and solve organisational issues and identify trends and insights in support of organisational outcomes.

APS4 Intelligence Support Officer (x2 roles): Melbourne, VIC

We are excited to partner with Services Australia in their Aurora Neurodiversity Program, for Intelligence Support Officers from within our community of talented autistic candidates.

The Intelligence and Investigations Branch is primarily involved in detecting and investigating cases of fraud relating to Medicare, Child Support and welfare programs. The Real Time Analysis team’s primary focus is on preventing fraud and protect the Australian public by providing a timely, and effective pre-payment analysis functionality. To do this we undertake near real-time checks on claims before they are paid to determine if the claim involves fraud.

One of the goals of the Real Time Analysis team is to act as an APS4 entry point for Intelligence Analysts into the branch, providing a development pathway for staff to progress to other Intelligence teams. The Data Analyst will be responsible for achieving and maintaining high standards of service delivery in liaison with clients and team members, managing time and prioritising issues, and dealing with work peaks and pressures.

The role requires a good level of attention to detail but has very strong support around it where the team member can seek assistance.

The role will also involve tasks that are repetitive and follow routines.
While the role requires good knowledge of working with data and analytics, regular training will be provided to become familiar with our processes and systems.
